Wichita Falls Police investigating 'horrible accident' involving a child

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

Wichita Falls Police Department were called out to a licensed daycare in the 3100 block of Sheffield on Tuesday afternoon in reference to an injured child.

Around 11:46 a.m. officers found a two-year-old child unresponsive and rushed to the hospital by ambulance. 

This child was later flown to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. According to WFPD, per protocol, Juvenile Detectives responded to the scene and the case is currently under investigation. 

WFPD said that it appears to be a 'horrible accident' involving a chair, but they are still investigating. Stay with Newschannel 6 as we continue to follow this developing story.
