WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - A restaurant in downtown Wichita Falls was broken into late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
Around 8:30 a.m. the Wichita Falls Police Department was called out to The Highlander Public House on the 700 block of Scott Street in reference to a burglary.
The reporting party told officers when he arrived at the building around 8:00 a.m. he noticed the back door and walk in cooler door was open.
The reporting party thought a delivery truck may have forgotten to secure the doors on accident. But, the reporting party saw that the cash register was out of place.
Upon further investigation damage was found to the back door of the restaurant. Officials said liquor bottles were stolen but no cash was taken, although it appeared an attempt was made.
