Montague Co. church youth group leader arrested for sex crimes against children

MONTAGUE COUNTY,TX (KAUZ) -

A Montague County man is behind bars accused of sexual abuse on members of a church youth group in Nocona.

In May 2017, the Texas Rangers began an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse by Brandon Cole Hale, 31.

Law enforcement officials said Hale has assumed a leadership role with the church youth group. According to arresting documents, Hale is accused of inappropriate behavior with a 14 and 17-year-old males. 

Both alleged incidents are believed to have happened at Hale's home in Nocona. Hale was arrested and booked into the Montague County Jail.

His charges are Sexual Assault, Indecency with a Child and Sexual Assault of a Child.
