WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - A Nocona man is behind bars in Wichita County accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.
On July 25, 2016, the victim's mother told WFPD her daughter was sexually assaulted by Matthew Scott Graves, 22.
A friend of the victim's told officers he told her that two days earlier Graves forced himself onto the victim and sexually assaulted her at a home in Wichita Falls.
The victim was taken for a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner or SANE exam and then to Patsy's House for a forensic interview.
The victim told authorities the details of the sexual assault including that she told Graves 'no' and 'stop' multiple times during the incident.
Evidence collected in the room where the alleged assault took place was taken and tested positive for semen. Those samples were tested against samples of Graves' DNA and authorities said the samples matched.
Based on the victim's statements and the analysis of the evidence Graves was arrested on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, and charged with Sexual Assault and Indecency with a Child.
As of Thursday afternoon, Graves was still in the Wichita County Jail with a $20,000 bond.
