MONTAGUE COUNTY,TX (KAUZ) - Court Appointed Special Advocates, also known as CASA, is always looking for volunteers to help hundreds of kids that need a voice while they deal with foster care and other challenges. Montague County has about 100 children in care each year, but only about ten volunteers.
These volunteers help out in court as well. But don't worry, there is training to deal with these circumstances. There will be a training session on September 16, 21, 23, 25, and 28 in Montague County.
You can call CASA at 940-766-0552 for the location and Wichita Falls will host a training session in October.
There is also CASA 101 that discusses the services the nonprofit provides. CASA 101 is going to be held in Montague County will be August 31 with a time and place to be announced. There will be a CASA 101 in Wichita Falls on October 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the CASA office at 808 Austin Street.
