WICHITA FALLS, TX - Local businesses are rallying around the family of Robert Grays. Grays is the Midwestern State University football player who died earlier this week after being seriously injured during a football game on Saturday against Texas A&M Kingsville.
Friday, at Frank and Joe's coffee house, people can come by and donate to the Grays family.
The MSU cheerleaders were there Friday taking donations and Frank and Joe's donated a portion of its proceeds to the family.
The MSU bookstore was also there with MSU gear so that people in the community could wear maroon and gold to be 24 strong in support of Grays.
Jessica Edwards at Frank and Joe's said what the community is doing is the Texas thing to do.
"Anytime tragedy happens we can come together like this and show love for one another," said Edwards. "It feels so good to see that and see how people want to help."
