WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

The United Way Campaign has officially begun.

Its mission is to strengthen our community. The annual campaign through North Texas Area United Way raises money that stays local and goes back into the communities United Way serves.

Many of the programs focus on education, income and health.

"There are 16 different organizations. Most people have heard of and some that are not easily recognizable. But they are providing great services in this community and well worth the money that we are raising for them," President and CEO Matt Yell said.

For more information about how you can get involved just head to the North Texas Area United Way Facebook page
