City View 10th Anniversary Homecoming Parade & Carnival

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

City View ISD is hosting its 10th Anniversary Homecoming Parade and Carnival Wednesday evening. 

The fun is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. The parade will begin at City View Elementary and continue down City View Drive.

The parade will turn on the far side of the high school and end on the City View Football Field. 

The parade theme is 'Once Upon a Homecoming' favorite fairy tale. There will be 16 floats plus the City View Band, John Deere Tractors, Harley Davidson motorcycles and more. 

The carnival is going to be a fundraiser for each class that sponsors a booth. Tickets are $0.25 each and can be bought at the carnival. 

There will be face painting, bounce houses, hay rides, a petting zoo and more for children to enjoy. There will also be hot dogs, nachos, roasted corn, and more to eat at the event. 

The bonfire will begin around 8:15 p.m. City View Drive from U.S. 287 to Iowa Park Road will be blocked off at 5:45 p.m.

    Members of the Tea Party in Wichita Falls are working to persuade residents to vote “No.” in the upcoming bond election. As News Channel 6 has reported, they have partnered with the political action committee from Arlington, Texas called Texans for Freedom.
