Burkburnett prepares for annual festival

BURKBURNETT, TX (KAUZ) -

Crews spent Friday morning prepping Friendship Park for the annual Friendship Festival that will take place on Saturday.

Organizers expect a big crowd, with more than 90 vendors and food trucks filling the park.

There will also be an area for the kids with a bull riding station and face painting station.

The family fun community event is free to the public.

"Right now we are going through and making sure all the parks area is clean and that the grass is all manicured," said Brent Battista, Director of Parks and Recreation for Burkburnett.  "Everything is ready to go and we are making sure the vendors have all the information they need."

All those who go out Saturday have an opportunity to give back. Donations accepted at Friendship Festival are going towards Hurricane Harvey aid.

The festival kicks off Saturday at 9:00 a.m. with a car show at Friendship park at 400 County Rd.

Concerts will start at 10:00 a.m. and run until 7:00 p.m.
