WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

The Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra is about to start their fall concert series and they have a new conductor at the helm.

The first show is called New Beginnings and its collaboration various of pieces from historical musicians like Mozart.

The show is Friday at Memorial Auditorium with a pre-show beginning at 6:45 p.m. and the main show at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets range from $10 to $35.

    A large grass fire in Electra off FM 2384 burned an estimated 600 acres Monday. Fire crews said a blown transformer ignited the fire that sparked just a day after another fire burned around 500 acres in the same spot.  A woman who lives across the street from where the fire started said the crews did a great job putting the fire out and keeping her home safe.
