WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Wichita Falls community members filled up their empty bowls at the 6th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser held earlier today.
All proceeds went to the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank that serves 12 surrounding counties.
Bowls were made by a Midwestern State University ceramics class and sent home with each person who came to the event.
Visitors went from station to station sampling soups from different businesses and organizations.
"All these restaurants just donate their food. We're very, very grateful for these restaurants and all the community members that came out," said Lyndsay Moss, Publicity Chair for the Empty Bowls Committee.
Soups, drinks, and desserts were provided by local businesses including WFISD Career Education Center Culinary Arts, Parkway Grill, and Gypsy Kit Cafe.
