UPDATE: victim's name released in car accident involving train

IOWA PARK, TX (KAUZ) -

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 43-year-old David Carlton Pace Jr, from Iowa Park, died after a single-vehicle car accident involving a train Friday night.

Newschannel 6 has learned multiple agencies are working a possible deadly accident in Iowa Park. 

DPS officials said around 10:15 p.m. on Friday a Dodge SUV and train collided near Johnson Road and W Smith Avenue near Cryovac.

As of 11:00 p.m. a medical examiner was on the way to the scene. Iowa Park Police and Fire, DPS, and Wichita County Sheriffs Office worked the scene. 

The vehicle was still on the tracks around 11:00 p.m. and traffic in the area was shut down while law enforcement officials processed the scene.
