More than $750,000 worth of drugs seized by WCSO

WICHITA COUNTY, TX (KAUZ) -

The Wichita County Sheriff's Office had its largest drug seizure of 2017 over the weekend. 

On Saturday, around 2:00 p.m. the WCSO Drug Interdiction Deputy and his K-9 partner stopped a vehicle on U.S. 287 and Burnett Ranch Road. 

During the stop, K-9 Deputy Cane and the responding Deputy could see signs of criminal activity. The vehicle was searched and more than 16 pounds of crystal methamphetamine and black tar heroin was found inside the vehicle. 

WCSO said the street value of the drugs was more than $750,000. A photo of the K-9 deputy with the drugs can be found below.

Erika Victoria Lopez, 26, Javier Cauz Capote, 24, and Eduardo Felipe Hernandez, 38, were all arrested and charged with

Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 Over 400 Grams.

    Tuesday, Wichita Falls City Council gave Downtown Wichita Falls Development the green light to paint crosswalks downtown. Hand drawn paintings made by local artists will fill the cross sections of 7th and 9th on Scott, Indiana and Ohio.
