WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

A Wichita Falls man is behind bars after leading police on a small foot chase overnight Tuesday.

Around 12:15 a.m. officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department were in the 4100 block of Lavell looking for a possible burglary suspect.

The description of the suspect they were looking for was someone with dark hair wearing a dark blue windbreaker and light colored pants.

While officers were in the area they saw a man wearing a dark windbreaker with a hood and acid washed jeans walking in the 4300 block of Cunningham.

According to the WFPD, they attempted to stop the man since his clothing somewhat matched the description.

When officers yelled at him to stop, identifying themselves as police, they said the man took off running.

The suspect, Mason Hogue, 24, was quickly taken into custody and charged with Evading Arrest Detention.

Hogue is in the Wichita Co. Jail on a $1,000 bond.
