WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Two people are behind bars after stealing a water heater from a home.
Wichita Falls police were called to the 1100 block of Monroe Street on Sunday after witnesses called to say two people were taking items out of a residence and loading them into the back of a gold truck.
Officers arrived to the area and found the truck in an alleyway.
When police pulled the truck over, the driver, 34-year-old Gaylon Dorsey, stated that he paid the passenger, 58-year-old Diana Chambers, $100 for a water heater.
When officers questioned Chambers, she admitted to not having permission to take the water heater.
A search of Chambers found a small amount of marijuana. She was booked into the Wichita County jail for Burglary of a Habitation and Possession of Marijuana Under 2 Ounces. She also had a warrant for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
Dorsey was charged with Burglary of a Habitation and Possession of Marijuana Under 2 Ounces.
