WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Texoma celebrated the lives of their loved ones who've passed away at the first Los Muertos Festival in downtown Wichita Falls on Saturday.
Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican holiday.
Family and friends support their loved ones through their spiritual journey. Some MSU students made an altar for one of their own, Robert Grays.
"I hope it brings happiness and celebration for him," Tanner Flores said. "[We want] to let him know his life was not in vain and he was a good person."
The event was hosted by Potencia Projects and members said they would like it to become an annual event.
