Man dies after crashing into Stillwater home

STILLWATER, OK (KAUZ) -

A man died after crashing into a home in Stillwater early Sunday morning, and police said the driver took psychedelic mushrooms before getting behind the wheel.

Stillwater Police said an officer saw a car speeding down the street around 1 a.m., but before the officer could catch up to the pickup the driver crashed into a home, causing the porch to collapse.

The driver 20-year-old Caleb Holt was pronounced dead at the scene. No one was in the home at the time of the crash.

During the department's investigation, they learned about the psychedelic mushrooms, and that the driver had a bad reaction the to them.
