Accident on U.S. 287 causes traffic slowdown

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

Wichita Falls police are working the scene of an accident on U.S. 287.

Crews on scene say just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning, a U-Haul trailer slowed down at an exit around Central Freeway and Maurine Street.

A truck behind the trailer then ran into it.

Several injuries have been reported, but crews on the scene say they don't appear to be serious.

The accident has caused traffic to be backed up for an unknown distance.
