WICHITA FALLS, TX -

Newschannel 6 has learned a young Wichita Falls man has been indicted on a murder charge.

On Thursday, the Wichita County grand jury chose to indict Christopher William Robertson, 19, in connection with a solicitation of murder charge.

The indictment stems from an incident on the morning of August 22 when WFPD said Robertson texted an undercover officer.

According to arresting documents, police said Robertson was asking if the undercover officer had a gun Robertson could borrow.

The undercover officer told Robertson he did have a gun and would trade it for methamphetamine.

Officers said Robertson agreed to the deal and later met up with the undercover officer for the exchange where he was arrested.

Robertson remains behind bars in the Wichita County Jail on a combined $210,000 bond which includes the murder charge and several other drug-related charges and one robbery charge.
