First Alert Forecast now on Amazon Echo

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

The weather forecast that we put together in the First Alert Weather Center can now be heard on the Amazon Echo.  

It can be accessed by asking, "Alexa, What's my flash briefing?" 

If you have never used this feature Alexa will reply, "To hear your flash briefing go to the Alexa App and select at least one category." 

The app is called Amazon Alexa and can be downloaded to your Apple or Android devices. 

The flash briefing is a quick update from the categories you select. 

To add a category to your flash briefing select the three bars at the top left corner of the Amazon Alexa App.  

  • Select settings 

  • Scroll down and select Flash Briefing 

  • At the top of your screen Select Get more Flash Briefing content 

  • Search for KAUZ Newschannel 6 

  • Select KAUZ Newschannel 6 

  • Enable it 

  • Then ask, "Alexa, what's my Flash Briefing?" 

You can organize the order your Flash Briefing play on the Amazon Alexa App. 

First Alert Meteorologist will update the Amazon Echo with a locally produced weather forecast after every newscast.
