Rider softball standout Madeline Naylor signed Wednesday to play at the next level for Lubbock Christian University of the Heartland Conference, which is slated to join the Lone Star Conference in the fall of 2019.
Naylor batted .407 as a junior with a team-high 27 runs batted in, on four home runs and twelve doubles.
She was named District 5-5A Catcher of the Year for her efforts.
She said she can't wait to get out to Lubbock.
"I really am super excited," she said. "It's something I've always wanted to do, it and it means a lot to me to be able to be one of the few people that actually get to go play in college. Because that's a big deal for me, and I really can't put into words just what it really means for me. But I am beyond excited to go."
