WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Friday afternoon, MSU tennis added their newest player - and she won't have to travel far.
Rider senior Casie Curry will suit up for the Mustangs on the court next year. She follows in the footsteps of her older brothers Chase and Connor, both high-level tennis players before her from whom she drew inspiration growing up.
She said the program at Midwestern was a big draw for her, as well as getting to reunite with a former teammate and doubles partner.
"All the girls really made me feel welcome on my visit," she said. "Plus I get to play with Maddie Rowe, on the same team again. And even the guys made me feel really welcome, and Coach Linn, also."
Bowie softball standout Taylor McCarty will be heading to the next level with Ottawa University in Kansas.
She was the District 9-3A co-MVP as a junior, hitting nearly .500 with 37 RBI. For her career, she carries a .450 batting average.
