WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

A boil order for residents who live near Lake Arrowhead has been extended until Tuesday morning.

Randy Whiteman with the Red River Authority of Texas said they are waiting for test results.

Whiteman said the results take around 18 hours to get back.

Sunday afternoon the Red River Authority of Texas issued a boil water notice for customers on the Arrowhead Lake Water System.

Whiteman originally said the boil order is expected to be lifted by Monday morning once the water can be tested.

All Lake Arrowhead customers on the west side of the lake need to boil their water before cooking or drinking until further notice.

This comes after the water pressure level dropped below the required 35 psi. Stay with Newschannel 6 as we continue to follow this developing story.
