Wade's eyes were bloodshot, drooping eyelids, and slurred speech according to the trooper. When asked to exit the vehicle, the trooper said Wade appeared to have difficulty balancing while walking.
The trooper stated Wade admitted to having three mixed drinks and a 'couple' beers before driving. Wade agreed to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which the trooper said he performed poorly.
