WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

Wichita District 2 City Councilor DeAndra Chenault was sworn in for her second term Tuesday.

In her first term, she helped bring a Family Dollar to the eastside and begin revitalization efforts downtown. She's happy with the progress that's been made, but not satisfied.

"People in District 2 will tell me we need a gas station or we need a grocery store," Councilor Chenault said. "So we are going to be in prayer that those things will come this term."

Councilor Chenault said she will continue to work with the downtown steering committee and is eager to see more businesses in the central business district.

She also said the new Family Dollar is doing well and hopes it's success will bring other businesses to the eastside
