Two arrested following discovery of 14 grams of meth

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Two people were arrested following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.

Officers stopped a vehicle in the 2300 block of Holiday in Wichita Falls around 1:30 p.m.

Police identified the driver as Jesse Buckley, 36, and the passenger as Stephany Baxter, 26.

During the traffic stop, officers said Buckley began to reach for his waist. Thinking he may have a weapon, officers opened the door of the vehicle to try and gain control of Buckley.

Police said Buckley began to kick officers and refused to comply with orders to show his hands and stop resisting.

Buckley was tased before being taken into custody. A search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag with methamphetamine inside on the floorboard.

Officers spoke with Baxter and asked if she had any drugs. She said she was and took out a clear bag from her person.

Inside the bag, officers said there were multiple smaller bags with methamphetamine inside.

The total weight of all the methamphetamine seized during this traffic stop weighed 14.1 grams.

Buckley and Baxter were booked into the Wichita County Jail. Buckley was charged with Resisting Arrest and Baxter was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
