WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - November is National Adoption Awareness Month.
More than 5,000 Texas children were adopted from the state care last year.
But the need is still here in the Lone Star State. Some children will not be able to go back home and need adoptive families to start new lives free from abuse or neglect.
This Friday is Wichita Falls Adoption Day. The event will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the 78th District Courtroom in the Wichita Co. Courthouse.
