WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - The Kemp Center for the Arts threw a party for the children of Texoma Saturday.
Dozens of kids came out and took photos of their favorite Disney Princesses and of course, Santa Claus. They also created their own artwork.
"They loved the princesses," said Christina Horne. "They were really excited about it and so were we."
Carol Sales, CEO of the Kemp Center, said seeing the children so excited is really what the whole event was about.
"You see the eyes of the children not only was Santa but the elves and hearing the readings from the princesses. It's really celebrating arts and that's part of their growth cycle," Sales said.
The children were treated to a Christmas classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
A Walmart Foundation donation helped fund the Christmas party.
All the artwork created by the children will be displayed at the Sikes Senter Mall.
