Four people hospitalized following single vehicle crash in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, OK (KSWO)- Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle wreck after four people were taken to a hospital in Jackson County.

According to OHP, it happened around 9:30 last night on County Road 208 just south of County Road 168. That's about four miles southeast of Altus.

According to the crash report, it happened when a 2000 Chevy driven went off the road while traveling south on County Road 208 and then rolled. The driver and one passenger were ejected and landed about 50 feet south of the vehicle.

One passenger was treated at Jackson County Memorial Hospital and then released. At last check, two other passengers and the driver were still hospitalized.

OHP noted a smell of alcohol on the driver in their investigation, citing the cause as a DUI in their initial report.
