WALTERS, OK(RNN Texoma) -

A short car chase in the middle of Walters on Sunday led to the arrest of a man who was wanted for driving off with another person's car.

Lucas Dante Christon has a warrant for his arrest out of Kiowa County, and Walters Police have been looking for him for weeks. But on Sunday they received a tip that Christon was at a home on Ohio Avenue. They went by that home around 1 p.m., and found him in an alleyway near Central Street and Ohio Avenue.

Christon took off in a car, and police chased him down for about 6 to 8 minutes. The chase ended near the same place it started. That’s when Christon took out a few fences, got out of the car and ran. But an officer caught up to him, and he was arrested.

Police later found that the car he was driving was stolen from Lawton on Friday. The owner was able to get the car back.
