WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) -

Dozens of kids in Wichita Falls learned more about the world around them Saturday thanks to a program that is designed not only to educate them, but to inspire them as well.

River Bend Nature Center held its Science Saturday this afternoon. Kids learned about the Earth, climate and what causes weather. The Education Coordinator for River Bend says her favorite part of these programs is being able to interact with the kids.

"Just to interact with them and listen to their ideas. They have great ideas and they are the scientists of tomorrow," said Leslie Cusick Fernandez.

The kids also got to check out all the animals at the nature center.

Science Saturday is held every other Saturday. For a complete schedule of Science Saturday's, click here.
