WF city officials give tour to show necessity of bond proposal

WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - Memorial Auditorium has been in Wichita Falls 90 years and the building is beginning to show its age.

There are cracks throughout the building, lack of space, and foundation issues.

The police department has a leaking roof and lack of space for employees. The fire station downtown has a lack of space for equipment.

These are all reasons why city council is considering a proposition on a possible May bond proposal for a $77 million city complex in the downtown business district.

Newschannel 6 Reporter Alex Achten will have a breakdown on Wednesday evening on Newschannel 6 at 6 p.m.
