Man arrested after assaulting girlfriend, police officers

WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) -

A call for a disturbance lead to one man being arrested Tuesday.

Around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the 1700 block of 9th Street. When they arrived, they spoke with a woman who said she and her boyfriend, 27-year old Nolan Blair, got in an argument and Blair become physical and started choking her. She was able to get away and find help and Blair fled the scene. 

About 20 minutes later, Blair returned and officers were called back out. Police attempted to handcuff Blair who had become aggressive and was resisting arrest. Officers used a taser on Blair, but it had no effect. Blair than began to fight the officers and hit an officer in the face and another in the torso. The officers fired a taser for a second time at which point Blair was able to be taken into custody.

Blair was transported to the Wichita County jail where he was charged with assault family violence, resisting arrest and two counts of assault on a public servant.
