Temperatures are in the 40s this morning, cool enough for a jacket for the morning commute. This afternoon will probably be the nicest of the next few days with mostly sunny skies, light winds and mild temperatures. Clouds roll in Friday ahead of our weekend rain maker. Winds will become strong out of the southeast as temperatures climb into the upper 60s.
We're still quite confident the best chance of rain will come late Friday night into Saturday morning. The big question for Saturday is, when will the rain end? Some forecast models try to keep rain in the area through late afternoon. I'm optimistic that the widespread rain will end by early afternoon. The storm system is strong enough to produce thunderstorms, but hail and high winds are not expected. Rain is not part of Sunday's forecast but clouds may hang around.
