TEXAS (KAUZ) - According to AAA Texas, the statewide gas price average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Texas is now $2.52 a gallon.

The price is seven cents higher than this time last week and 25 cents higher than a year ago today.

Of the metropolitan area in the state, drivers in Midland are paying the most on average at $2.72 while drivers in Sherman/Denison are paying the least at $2.37 a gallon.

According to Gasbuddy.com, the cheapest price in Wichita Falls is currently at Sam's Club on Lawrence Road.

The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $2.74. That is seven cents higher than last week and 33 cents higher than the same time last year.
