More than 7,000 cast ballots early in Wichita Falls

The official numbers are in for early voting for the Wichita Falls bond election.

The $131 million bond includes seven propositions lettered A through G.

The propositions include projects to improve streets, parks, finish the Circle Trail, Lake Wichita shoreline improvements, a new municipal complex, renovations to MPEC facilities, downtown streetscape projects and more.

Voters can cast their ballots in favor or against each proposition. If all seven propositions passed, property taxes would increase 16 cents which is equivalent to $180 a year for a $100,000 home.

Election day is Saturday, May 5. Voters will need to cast their ballots in their respective precincts. News Channel 6 will be your source for the latest election coverage from across Texoma.
