WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - Creative minds were at Big Blue in downtown Wichita Falls Saturday hoping to beat the clock.
They were there for the city's first ever Hackathon.
The challenge pits young thinkers against time as they brought an original idea to life.
The idea could be anything from a 3-D printed project to a web application.
Organizers said downtown was the perfect place to hold an event like this.
"We really love being downtown, the community that's grown here is really amazing, artists, creatives, engineers, makers so it just made a lot of sense to do it in downtown Wichita Falls," said CEO of Dexter, Michael Olaya.
The event drew a variety of people from computer science students at Midwestern State University to middle school students.
The winners of the Hackathon have the opportunity to take home great prizes.
Organizers said adding this accomplishment will look great on the attendees resumes.
