WATCH LIVE: Tornado Watch

Today is a First Alert Day. A tornado watch has been issued for most of the area including Texas Counties, Hardeman, Foard, Knox, Childress, Cottle, King, Wilbarger, Baylor, Wichita, Archer, and Clay. Oklahoma Counties in the watch are Harmon, Jackson, Tillman, Kiowa, Tillman, Cotton, Comanche, Stephens, and Jefferson. Storms are developing along the dryline from Crowell to Mangum and moving northeast. With high instability and wind shear, any storm that develops in the area will likely be severe, producing large hail and very strong winds. Tornadoes are possible. As we head into late evening and overnight the storms will likely line out and we will see more of a squall line. We may see a couple of rounds of thunderstorms tonight.

Thunderstorms may impact the area after midnight tonight and toward sunrise. By Thursday afternoon, the risk of severe storms will be limited to places like Jacksboro, Bowie, and Nocona
