WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

Wichita Christian School held their annual senior fundraiser Monday night with a student vs. faculty basketball game. The seniors are following in the footsteps of some former senior classes that put on the game.

"It's actually sort of been a tradition," said senior Jackson Landes. "Because the classes before us have done a basketball game like this and it's been a pretty big hit."

The senior class will use the money raised at the game to help pay for their senior trip and service project.

"One awesome thing about going to a small school is we get to dedicate two weeks to a service project, as well as a senior trip," said Landes. "And so about mid-May we will be doing Habitat for Humanity work, and then after that we will go on our trip to Mexico. And this is just to have some cash for some expenses on that trip as well as for Habitat for Humanity."

The cool part about this fundraiser is the fan involvement. There were games in between every quarter and a few tweaks to the game that can be made and controlled by the fans in the stands.

"One unique thing about our game is that you can pay to have rule changes," Landes said. "So you pay $5 dollars to make a player wear oven mitts while they are playing basketball for a couple of minutes. Or there is a timeout box that can make a player sit out, as well as some science goggles, and only playing with your left hand. So that's always a lot of fun."
