WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - The After-Hours Art Walk has Wichita Falls buzzing this year and organizers say the event is showing that the public is ready for a revitalized downtown.
Some residents at the art walk were all in favor of Proposition G – the downtown revitalization project up for vote in the current city bond election.
Becky Raeke is the owner of 9th Street Studios and a member of Downtown Wichita Falls Development Inc. She said, "With all the momentum that we have from the downtown business owners and the artists that are coming, if the bond passes – especially with Prop G– it's just going to bring so much more and accelerate that progress for us."
The After-Hours Art Walk takes place on the first Thursday of every month up through October.
It includes vendors selling crafts, live music, art galleries, and activities for kids.
There's entertainment from the Downtown Farmers Market to the Kemp Center for the Arts. The event is free and open for everyone to attend.
