Texas DPS offers reward for most wanted fugitive

AUSTIN, Tx (RNN Texoma) - Texas DPS is offering a reward for information leading to the capture of a most wanted fugitive in Texas.

Andrew Jerome Belmontes, 26, is wanted for parole violation.

Officials say Belmontes is affiliated with the Texas Chicano Brotherhood gang and has been wanted since September 2017. He has ties to the cities of Roma and Rio Grande City in Starr County as well as the Houston area.

Belmontes was convicted in Starr County in 2014 on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released on parole from state prison in June 2017.

He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. He has several tattoos on his body including spelling out his last name on his back. He may also be going by the nickname "Flako".

A reward of up to $7,500 is being offered for information leading up to his arrest.
