Kid Cafe gearing up to feed kids this summer

WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) -

The school year is wrapping up in Wichita Falls but as some kids look forward to summer vacation, others are more worried about getting enough food.

The Wichita Falls Area Food Bank is gearing up for another summer of serving meals at local Boys & Girls Clubs. They've been doing this for around a decade and hope to have nine sites this summer. They work with The Kitchen in Wichita Falls and feed any kid aged 18 or under. This is only one program under the food bank but they all rely on the same equipment.  

"The program itself is regulated by the government so we can't accept food donations for this but we can always use donations. Right now, we're trying to get a new delivery truck," said Kids Cafe Manager Ben Diekhoff. 

Meals start May 29 and run Monday to Friday through early to mid-August. You can find the meal locations below:
