Operation Fresh Start cleans up the Falls

WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - Volunteers from across Wichita Falls gathered at New Jerusalem Baptist Church Saturday for the Operation Fresh Start Community Clean-up Campaign.

Dozens of volunteers picked up trash and even cut tree limbs to help beautify their neighborhood.

Some volunteers from Hirschi High School said it was all about lending a helping hand.

"Well I enjoyed giving back to the community most of all because nobody really gives back to the community in our generation and it's nice to do so," said Patience, a Hirschi High School Student.

"I like, yeah I like coming together and helping and it wasn't just like one school it was other schools too and our church so I like that a lot," said fellow volunteer I'mani.

They were also shown appreciation for giving back. Texoma Community Credit Union volunteers cooked and fed the workers hamburgers and hot dogs for their efforts.
