WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - Wichita County Commissioners are preparing for a meeting Thursday they say could be a milestone in their efforts to build a new law enforcement center.
They're expected to approve the final construction documents for the center and have them sent to the Texas Jail Commission for final approval.
They will also get their final construction update.
If it comes back at or below 70 million dollars then they can proceed. If not, they will have to find ways to reduce the cost.
The bidding process is expected to begin immediately after approval and a groundbreaking is scheduled for July 25.
