Softball tournament to benefit local non-profit organization Saturday

WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) -

The Wind Up for Down Syndrome softball tournament is set to kick off Saturday, May 19.

The tournament will run from 10 a.m. until Sunday, May 20, at 6 p.m. It will be held at the City of Wichita Falls Softball Complex at 1702 Sheppard Access Road.

The tournament is the first ever to benefit The Upside, Advocacy and Advancement for Individuals with Down Syndrome organization.

The organization will be based in Wichita Falls and will serve the surrounding North Texas counties.

Proceeds will be used to establish the non-profit's presence in the community and allowing it to reach out to those in need.
