The climb in temperatures continues. Tuesday's high temperature in Wichita Falls was 95, today's highs will be closer to 100. It's entirely possible that communities out west get close to 105 this afternoon. Extreme late-spring heat is guaranteed through Saturday, which is forecast to be our third consecutive triple digit day. This is heat that must be taken seriously. Strenuous work should be avoided when temperatures climb into the mid 90s, especially while humidity is high.
Southwest Oklahoma saw intense thunderstorms overnight, producing hail and high winds. It looks as if rain chances will stay north of Texoma for the remainder of the week. It's possible that rain chances could return Saturday night. There is some hope that cooler temperatures will arrive Sunday.
