Burkburnett PD: Woman arrested for alleged child abuse

BURKBURNETT, Tx (RNN Texoma) -

A Burkburnett woman was booked into the Wichita Co. Jail on Tuesday for abandon endanger child following a report to the Burkburnett Police Department by Child Protective Services.

According to an arrest warrant, on March 26, 2018, detectives were contacted about a possible child abuse case involving Alana Nicole Trujillo, 36.

The 9-year-old victim made an outcry that Trujillo attempted to drown him in the bathtub. The victim and the victim's siblings were taken to Patsy's House for a forensic interview.

The children corroborated the drowning claims made by the victim and other forms of possible abuse while in the care of Trujillo. Based on the children's claims during the forensic interview, a warrant was issued on May 16, 2018.

Trujillo is no longer in the Wichita Co. Jail.
