WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District is inviting people to celebrate World No Tobacco Day by quitting smoking.
They say the tobacco epidemic is one of the biggest public health threats the world has ever faced, killing more than 7 million people a year.
May 31 is designated World No Tobacco Day by the World Health Organization and this year the focus is on the impact tobacco use has on cardiovascular health.
The Public Health Districts hold Freshstart classes aimed at helping people quit smoking.
The next class starts on June 12.
