Today will play out much like yesterday weather wise with sunny skies and triple digit heat. The average high temperature for June 1st is 88 degrees. Unfortunately, there's nothing nearly that cool in the seven day forecast. The weekend forecast does offer a slight change in our weather. A cool front will move in Saturday afternoon, turning our winds northerly. We'll get close to one hundred degrees Saturday but as a result of the cool front, Sunday's high temps will be closer to 90 degrees. So, not cool, but closer to what we'd consider normal for this time of the year.
Here's the bad news; it looks like an even stronger ridge of high pressure will develop by mid week next week, making the return of triple digit heat likely. Rain chances are slim with a couple of chances Monday into Tuesday.
