IOWA PARK, TX(RNN Texoma) -

The biggest animal adoption event in Iowa Park took place Saturday.

Woofstock brought out local rescue centers from several counties along with dozens of dogs looking for their forever homes.

The hot temperatures did not seem to bother the pups as they played and met new friends.

This is the third year for this event and organizers said it is also their biggest yearly fundraiser as well.

"This is our biggest fundraiser for the year, this is pretty much what keeps our rescue going for most of the year," said Samantha Alejandro, Administrative Director of Music for Mutts. "We supplement with other small fundraisers but this is our pride and joy right here."

There was also live music, pony rides, and hot dogs cooked by the Iowa Park Police Department.

This all took place behind the Lakeview Church of God whom the organizers said have been amazing to them.
